The Frederick Firm is a different firm in
many ways. One of the
Firm’s Founding partners, Mr. Frederick, has long believed that
fees for legal services have been too high, to cover high overhead
costs and unnecessary and expensive “baggage” carried by many
larger firms, and that law firms in general operate “inside the
box” and do not explore alternative and much less expensive ways to
practice law, including their seeming inability to actually use
available technology day-to-day to reduce expenses and costs to
their clients. Our
firm does just the opposite with our dedication to representing
management in labor and employment matters and businesses in
commercial litigation.
We believe in providing the best legal
services without breaking our clients’ bank accounts. We offer our services at hourly
rates lower than those billed by larger firms for attorneys of
comparable or less experience, and we do not bill for the countless
expenses usually tacked on to others’ already exorbitant legal
fees. For example, we
do not bill for expenses except for those related to court filing
fees, expenses associated with out-of-town travel, extraordinary
copying expense (we consider extraordinary 250 pages, a half a ream
of paper, for any one copying job), and expenses billed to us by
third parties such as court reporter’s fees. How can we do this? Our firm has reduced overhead,
resulting in our firm, acting on our own accord, actually
offering to lower our rates to our most dedicated, loyal and
appreciated clients.
As a matter of course we go out of our way to schedule matters in a
manner that is less costly to our clients, unlike other larger
firms who do not think twice about such matters and just pass
increased expenses on by adding them to bills to the client. We are acutely aware that
clients operate in the real world of business, and we run our firm
in the same real world of business in which our clients
operate.
