Mr. Frederick is admitted to
practice before all federal district courts in Alabama, the Fourth,
Eighth, Eleventh and D.C. Circuit Courts of Appeals, and all state
courts in Alabama. He is a member of the Birmingham,
Alabama State Bar, and American Bar Associations.
Mr. Frederick has been named
as one of America's Best Lawyers for the past decade
(1996-2006). Mr. Frederick was the Management Co-Chair of the
Labor & Employment Law Committee of the Litigation Section of
the American Bar Association (1999-2000); Chair (2004-2005) and
Executive Committee (2000-2005) of the Labor & Employment Law
Section of the Alabama State Bar. Mr. Frederick is a member
of the Employee Benefits Committee and Equal Employment Opportunity
Committee of the Labor & Employment Law Section of the American
Bar Association.
Mr. Frederick has tried a
large variety of labor and employment law, sizable and “high
profile” commercial and personal injury cases to jury verdicts and
administrative trials before the National Labor Relations
Board. In his
twenty-four years of practice, Mr. Frederick has handled virtually
every type labor and employment law matter, ranging from resolving
without publicity or litigation sexual harassment accusations
against church officials to designing and implementing mandatory
arbitration agreement programs at companies employing more than
13,000 employees. Mr.
Frederick also has developed all other types of personnel policies
and procedures and run union free campaigns for employers and
handled corporate-wide FLSA and EEO litigation. He advises clients on general
labor and employment law issues and has litigated all types of
employment discrimination cases and ERISA claims, including breach
of fiduciary duty cases.
Mr. Frederick is a frequent speaker on a variety of labor and
employment law and benefits issues, both locally and at the
national level.
